There is a fuel filter build into the tank - it fits over the petcock and the only way to get to it is by removing the petcock... However, adding a second fuel filter won't hurt anything...
There is also an inline filter on the carb. Not unless you run a lot of dirty gas or ride in a dusty and windy area, these filters will suffice. There is no scheduled service on them however, I recommend you at least check the one on the carb every so often. Inline Fuel Filter Install
