nope. Not sure your experience. Here's some advice:

1.) Make sure to locate it away from the top of the engine as far as possible, so heat doesn't warp it and cause issues. I haven't had this issue on the ninja, but have had it on other bikes.

2.) Make sure you have the flow correct. If you hook the filter up for "back flow", it will be completely ineffective.

I use the cheap disposable one. they are so much more convenient when cleaning time comes, but they do break easily, so be careful on the install.

The above super explaination of Spooph and Blue Ghost can only be aplied on caburated Ninjas.The FIs once will need a more robust metal inline filters with good clamps,as the fuel pump will build up quiete high presure.Anyhow a metal filters can be bulky(read big).Find the smallest available such as this but it's still huge compared.
