Hi All,

I am planning to get front and rear stands for my 250 so I can start doing my own maintenance. I'm looking at the Pitbull brand right now and just wondering which front stand I should get. Have you guys have any good experience with other brands? I would like the stands to be universal so I could use on other bikes too. Thanks in advance.

The stand I picked up at Cycle Gear on sale was about $60 and simply has two pads the you rest the frame on and pop it up. I imagine if you are going to be doing a lot of wrenching, you will want a more secure connection though.

I use Power Stands and am very happy with them. I use a triple tree stand for the front (that way I can remove the front wheel, forks and all that jazz with no worries, and a spooled rear stand. It's a pretty solid setup...
