Sorry, but I always wear short's and t shirts. Its amazing how bugs sting when you're going ... well fast.
if you're willing to risk extreme injury/severe road rash - go for it. i used to do the shorts and t-shirt thing when i had a scooter, but when you're going down the highway at 60+ MPH... shorts and a t-shirt are pretty stupid

its been proven time and time again. when someone gets hurt when they're not wearing gear, they have an immediate change of heart. Even had a guy with a broken arm at the grocery store the other day tell me that he was happy to see me wearing gear (broken arm was a result of motorcycle crash)

Good luck when you eat asphalt and go for a nice slide down the road with those t shirts on. And how can you put a knee down in the corners with shorts on?
I never put a knee down on corners....
No kneeeed to....
I'm not running on a track....
NNnnn.... I've never followed the crowd to look like them.
I see no reason a knee down is gunna help you make a corner?
I make it around every corner i take without my knee down.
I worry much more about the oil n grease on my tire on the corner then my knee being down.....
Been wearing shorts n a T ...4... 48 years of riding....
I'm still alive n my body parts are fine...

Congrats, but when it happens you'll wish you had gear on was all I'm sayin. And getting low with the bike helps you take turns much faster than when you are perpendicular with the road going around a turn. So in that respect, putting a knee down will help you make a corner. Not saying getting low while going 35mph around a turn will help at all, but it definitely help when taking turns at 60+ mph.

Witch I just put a knee out, not down. If I drag a knee on these roads, then you need to worry for me. I dont get real crazy on turns, too many crosses and teddy bears on side of roads here. Roads suck for most part. I'm more of a " all clear ahead, let the green goblin fly!"
