Took delivery of my new '09 baby-ninja today. ;D

Got a message from dealer yesterday that it was on the truck and in shipment. I called after work and it turns out that it had been unloaded 20 min. before. So I hurried down there and paid for it before it was even uncrated. Had to wait until today for the assembly, and rode it home about 2pm today.

I've had my deposit in since May, first on a 08, then that was canceled and I rolled it to the 09. So now,, six months later I finally have it.

Every dealer is just getting one for now, so I took the color that came -- blue. Not my first pick, (see sig) but when it's between blue and nothing, I took blue.

I've filled up the tank to make sure the gauge works, and it seems to be accurate. \o/ I've got 32 miles on it, and after I get home from work tomorrow I'll change the oil to get all the break in junk out.

Over all, I like it. I need to get used to the change in riding position from my Seca, and the need to shift a bit more. But it's a fun ride and it's my very first year-model new vehicle ever, and it's paid for!

Heh, my digicam has been broke for months. Tooks some film pics when I got it home. It's bad luck not to take asap!

Now to get my Seca running again, it puked a coil on Sunday. I found a used one today at junkyard in Phoenix today, once it's going, it up for sale.

On my todo list:
SS brake lines
Heated grips
Winter jacket & gloves

thanks all.

ok, first oil change was done at 46.1 miles. Glad I did, oil was still clear, but I was able to see some metal shavings caught in the filter. Fresh Wix filter and 2 qts.. of Rotella, and she's ready to roll.

I've got 3 days off works in a row, next week, so I'm going to sync the carbs, and do the washer mod then.

New tank bag is on the way, so I don't have to stuff my work water bottle in my jacket anymore.

Did my first fill up today, indicated 1/2 tank, with 135 miles since the initial fill. Got 59.4 mpg, which I'm pretty happy with, since I've been flogging it pretty hard for the break in.

Sprockets are now very high on the mod list, 8K at 70 mph is just too much for highway travel.

Hi Kitten.... Wow!! Six months of waiting....I could not even get through the one week I had to wait to get mine and that was because I wanted blue and they only had green in stock.... Anyway, glad to hear that you have finally got the bike. I do alot of highway cruising also and over here, the stock is 14/43... I have changed my front to 15 and have a reduction of 500rpm at 100km per hour which is quite good for me... Do let me know how it goes with your sprocket change.. I am planning to go one down at the rear from a 43 to 42.... just dont have the time yet.... safe riding and cheers.
