Most of my questions are fairly simple, this one is too. Does anyone else find that the fairings on the ninjas (mines a 2011 650R) pushes all air away from your legs? I've found that even when riding between 80-100 KMPH my legs get really warm from the bike......
I've never noticed that before but it's probably because I've never on that bike I just read it from time to time. But I will tell you Kawasaki's are known for heat issues.
Well there's your problem, you're not going fast enough!!
But seriously, I don't notice it that much at highway speeds, but in stop/go traffic, yes, it definitely does build up heat.
Not much you can do about it unfortunately, hopefully your fan is operating as it should to cool down the engine as needed, but it's just one of those quirks that makes the 650R so special!
You probably can try taking the shrouds away from around the radiator to help with some of the heat. As well as putting a heat shield on the bottom of the tank. That's a trick a lot of guys do on other bikes with heat problems
Good point Byte2022, I always thought much of the heat issue was due to the exhaust sitting directly under the bike. But then again I really only feel it on hot days in stop and go traffic.
