Basically, I only ride my Ninja to and from work, and both my apartment and my office are pretty much right on the interstate exit / entry ramps. As a result, my morning procedure -

Start engine with choke. Go outside apartment and wait at signal. Enter interstate ramp and turn off choke. Cruise at around 65 for 5-8 minutes depending on traffic. Get off interstate, reach office and turn off engine.

I do the same thing pretty much in the evening. There's a signal right outside the office before the interstate entry ramp, then after around 5 miles my house is right off the exit.

I don't really use the bike all that much on weekends to be honest.

Am I spoiling the bike by driving just the above mentioned way? I start the engine, and pretty much in 2 minutes I am at cruising speed for like 10 minutes, and then shut it down !

I see no problem with that. As long as you let the engine warm up before you ride, I say you're good to go.

+1 to this!
It is more harmful to the bike if don't ride it at all, with out regular use, and the proper storage techniques, the bike will deteriorate a lot more.
One thing I would suggest, is take it for an extended trip on the weekends or a day off. Expand your horizons and enjoy the hell out of the experience of riding the Ninja!!:thumb:

I'd run synthetic oil (I always do) and change it regularly, but your riding isn't considered "extreme service". Rotella T6 (5W-40) is a good/cheap/easy to get choice IMO. 5W flows better at low temps (almost any ambient temp is low temp compared to engine operating temp) and will give you better mileage as well because it flows easier as it is coming up to it's high (40) rating.

Do your regular maintenance. Lube the chain. Run Ethanol-free gas if poss and keep the tank as full as possible to reduce the change of moisture/rust forming in the tank.

Just basic stuff.
