I'm new to modern bikes and I recently bought a zx6r p8f, and this might be a dumb question but on the exhaust at the bottom of the bike, near the belly but on top of the pipe are two devices with wires going to them. What are these?
I heard somewhere they pre heat the exhaust or the catalytic converter. Is that true and if so what purpose does that have?
Thanks
I'm not 100% sure of what your talking about but I think you are referring to the exhaust valve system which changes the back pressure inside the exhaust based on throttle position and air flow
I think that valve system is further back under the tail before the silencer above the wheel but these are just after the down pipes combine near the front. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will.
That for if ur not running ur bike hard enough.....
It heats ur exhaust so it don't carbon up....
Hahahahahahahahahaha....

Has a filament like ur toaster....:whistling:
