I am pretty excited!!
Here is my new exhaust hanger I designed and had my friend who is a fab.guy cut out and do the brake ( bending ) for me . I finished it up .
It elimates that whole bracket and passenger footpeg assembly.

Let me know what you think and I am thinking about producing them and selling them. For off road use only of course.
It should work for the exhausts that have the movable bracket like the Yoshi , Area P and kind like.

Your serious feedback is appreciated. thanks

Re: Exhaust Hanger- My design

Thanks for your input so far.!!
"why would it be for offroad use only? "

because I am not insured to sell something for on road use.

;D as many of our after market pipes are for " ONLY" off road/track use due to emmissions/noise.

They would probably be around 60 bucks since the fab work is done by an actual shop. I do not have a Break, they are pretty expensive large pieces of machinery. They are pretty cobby when I get them so I will have to grind , deburr,
polish and then scotchbrite them.
Still in prototype stage. Might be able to streamline but not sure yet.

Power coating would make them expensive. unless you have a powdercoating friend. I wish I did.
As for flat black, a can of stove paint works wonders.

Re: Exhaust Hanger- My design

I think they would only have to change it something like 10 % to avoid copywrite issues..
So they would have 3 holes : ::)

I want to post it on the Other forums but don't want to get picked on.

Did you do it on both sides or just the one side?
I removed the foot peg bracket on the left side but just put the hex heads back into the frame.
no need for a hanger there of course no pipe !

Re: Exhaust Hanger- My design

It would be crazy to have a passenger and not have foot peg but for me the whole idea is NO passengers on my bike :) !!! get your own.!!!

No giant ugly clunky peg holder/ exhaust bracket.

I was on the back of my husbands KLR the other day to pick up my car and holy crap did I feel out of control... It had been a long time Since I wasn't on my own bike when we were out. He is a great rider but man was I glad to be on solid ground. I have control issues... it is well known :)

Re: Exhaust Hanger- My design UPDATE

Here is an update. Getting quote on plasma cutting from a different fab co. ( less clean up )
Black powdercoating has been quoted.
Might go to lighter steel for strength. The bends on my prototype seem a little weak, but maybe the bend wasn’t with the correct grain.
I might offer alum but seems like everyone wants black.
Finally found the spacers for the install kit I want to use. sorry it takes soo long for all of this.

so very very close.
