No no not at all .

I took my bike to the stealership for my first service, I got it back and was charged 90$ more than quoted and I had scratches down my fairings.

if you want the nice little stamps in the service book (then yes take it to the dealer) but if your not bothered then no you dont have to.

i take mine to the dealer just because ill like my re-sale value to be slightly higher when i sell it....also i take my own oil etc which brings my price down
