Exactly insurance is a bitch for those zxr's I don't know if a z1000 is any better. It would be hard to find a low mileage z1000 or zxr around here. Maybe if I searched hard in Omaha or Sioux City.

But again just getting ideas here, I'll be keeping my bike for a while. I don't know if I have the power bug or if I'm just heavier than a normal guy (I'm 5'11" and 205 on a light day).

Z anything was high 4 insurance.... Any supersport.....any brand..... The 650 was reasonable....
It usually goes down the longer you have your motorcycle endorsement. At least it does in my area. If you just got your endorsement, the insurance companies charge you like you are a 16 year old who just got their drivers license. In a sense you are, you just know the rules of the road already but have no experience on a motorcycle. I've had my endorsement for 4 years now and my rates have gone down over the years. Just keep tickets and accidents of your record, especially tickets. I learned that lesson the hard way when I was a teenager. They will charge you up the ass.

I'm 59.......
Had a bike license be4 i had my car license at 17........
A class a license ......
A perfect driver record.......:thumb:
And insurance on a 6R/636 would of been over 100 bucks a month...
That would of been on a 2-3 year old one...not new......
A 1000CC bike was even more.......
My 650 cost me about 50 a month 4 good full coverage......
Up here in New England the put it to us......

Anyone know why my coolant pours out the radiator cap when I open it.. keep in mind I haven't rode it in a day or so. The bike is completely cold when I noticed this... it over heats when riding more than 30 min. And leaks coolant while it's hot. I know it shouldn't pour out of the radiator when you take the cap off. Any suggestions?
