Death Valley Rally IV

* Where: Death Valley National Park
* When: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 8, 9, 10, 2011
* Experience Level: All

DESCRIPTION
It is time again for the Little Ninjas to gather for the lowest rally of all, the 4th Annual Death Valley Rally. This rally heads into Death Valley at one of the most beautiful times of the year, and the starry nights alone make it worth the trip. The rally is a great way to try a camping trip on your Ninja while enjoying the awesome beauty of one of America's magnificent National Parks. The pace and attitudes are relaxed and we always have fun meeting Ninja board members and friends of the Little Ninjas. This is a great way to meet some board members!

ITINERARY

FRIDAY, April 8th - We will rendezvous at the Barstow EconoLodge on Main and have dinner at Carrow's. Many of the more adventurous have chosen to camp in the KOA campground just east of Barstow previous years.

SATURDAY, April 9 - Meet any riders coming in on Saturday AM for breakfast at Carrow's. Then we will ride into the park from the southeast, stop at Badwater (the lowest of places), and setup camp at the Furnace Creek Campground. Then a mad dash to Dante's View to watch the sunset, followed by dinner at the Furnace Creek restaurant.

SUNDAY, April 10 - We will ride out the west side of the park through Ridgecrest. Enjoy lunch and then head for home.

MOTEL - Barstow Econo Lodge
1230 E. Main St. , Barstow, CA, US, 92311
Phone: (760) 256-2133

This place is easy to find on Historic Route 66, next to a Carrow's restaurant. Through Choicehotels.com and using my AMA discount, a room for two was $50.

CAMPGROUND - $0 per person for the first eight tents. Four adjacent Furnace Creek tent campsites (#23, 24, 25, & 26) have already been reserved allowing two tents each (the website says only two vehicles are allowed in the 22 foot long driveway, we'll see). So at least the next seven riders to commit are camping on my dime.

looks like a ton of fun, but I'm going to have to wait and see as the time gets closer.
Death Valley = AMAZING!

Loved my time going through there, next time I visit the US, it's definitely on the list for a re-visit.

Would love to go to this as well!
