Et just wondering if anyone has or has delt with a chatter box system? A few people i ride with and myself are looking at the slims right now and just want to know if they work and how well the work. Thanks

I would suggest looking into the sena smh10 units. they are the most user friendly by far.. the chatter boxes and scala units have buttons that are impossible to use while riding. good luck!

The misses and myself both got chatterboxs x1-slim. I like them but there are some flaws that I do not like. The buttons are tricky but I got use to it. I ended up using a micro switch right next to my horn. The stock PTT switch stinks. It's to big to mount on the handle bars and if you do get it on there it roles around and cuts in and out. The speakers are great work when you are talking to people but as far as music the are weak. I believe they are running mono through the box and that's why they echo and distort during music play. But I need to look into that. There is more I can say about them. I can post a in depth review if some is looking to buy one.

the jog dial is the real beauty of the smh10. I can use them with gloves no problem, and this system is LOUD. the speakers are solid and it took me all of 5 minutes to install the units into my bell star and my gf's bell arrow.

Hmmm does that system use integrated mic and speaker wiring harness? CB uses one with a 1/8th in 4 point headphone style jack. So I could try swapping in the speakers and mic from that unit.
