There is more at stake then money and your licence. Please slow down! or take it to the track.
shit thats really badMuzz said:that punishment seems kinda soft compared to Australian standards. over here that would equal 6 months minimum suspension, and a fine anywhere between $1,784 and $2,200 AUD. kinda makes me want to move to NZ. i'm a P plate motorcyclist. i lose my license for 3 months minimum if i'm caught speeding by 1 km/h.
dude i think the point of giving you a ticket would be so that you'd change your behavior. Its unsafe to both you and other motorists on the road. As Zartan said, if you want to ride fast, please take it to a track. It ends up giving all motorcyclists a bad name, when there's only a select few who do stupid stuff.sulfurboi said:I appreciate your concern, but again the fact i was caught speeding...doesnt change my mind state on my riding what so ever. It just happens that i got caught and it will cost me money...
says he who was pulled over going 100 over the speed limit. Look dude I'm not telling you to change. I'm just saying that you shouldn't do that to yourself. I'm not telling you to go the speed limit, but I think that's a bit excessive. In the end, it is your life and you don't have to listen to what I say by any means, but it's your ass that's on the line.sulfurboi said:lol, at the end of the day jester, when its your time its your time. You could obey all the laws in the world and still die tommorow on a bike. I am quite confident in my riding and happy to do what i do. Im not silly with it at all, i would never put my self or others in harms way.
Yeah, and sulfurboi, think about the people that care about you - girlfriend, family, whatever - and how they would feel if you hurt yourself.jon said:I don't know how old you are but I can relate to that. I got a speeding ticket @ 160 km-h with my first bike when I was 18 y.o. Now after my 20 years experience I think today it's not the most brilliant thing I did at that time. It's ok if you want to risk your own life but you have to understand that the others around you might not think like you do. Best way is to do these kind of things on a race track. Others will not think you pass them that fast and you might get cought somewhere and may injured somebody else wich is more important than you...just think about it.
