well im already looking for bikes for when i can ride(2 years!1one1! 8)). my dad rides a harley davidson fatboy custom but ive been towards the sport bikes so whenever we ride to the harley dealers im always looking the buells(1125r looks hawt!). my dad turns out to be really good friends with the harley davidson dealer in wausau wisconsin. it just so happens tht every 2 years they sell their buell blasts from the training classes for new ones. and they just got new ones so the year i can legally ride theyll be selling them. my dad said they sell them for around $1200 off the sticker price and theyll only have around 500 miles. my dad said he'll pick one up for me when they turn around and sell them.
the blasts are 492cc streetfighter-like bikes. they are really the only streetfighter bikes i like besides the z1000 and the monsters. id post pics but as of this time i have no clue how to do it...il try but no guarantees ;) ;D.

They had blasts when I went to take the MSF but we got put with the rebels and the eliminators so I didn't get a chance to try them out. However, I think that would be an EXCELLENT first bike lower displacement, twin cyclinder, and I think it's belt drive (not too sure) so none of that pesky chain maintenance!

damn tht elise is sexy...fell in love with those when i first saw it at an auto show in chicago...tht was some fun. got to sit in an enzo and a murcielago :)
and CS...i figured id go for the buell cuz im gunna prob be too big for a 250 and if i went with a kawi id have to have a ninja and id prob get a zx6r and id kill myself on tht so i figured a blast was safe bet. plus im really digging the underbody exhaust. if anyone wants i can post a better pic of the exhaust

thts aftermarket down there \/\/

omg tht ^ just reminded me of tht volkswagen commercial "pimp my auto" where tht crazy german dude is lik V-Dub gsherman engineering... and does tht VW thing with his hands

That exhaust is sick...

Also, if things don't work out with the buell, my first bike was a 97 zx-6 the less hyper version of the zx6r. I found it was easy to deal with at lower speeds (like my zzr) but you can still wind it up and have it pull your arms off (not so much with the zzr, considering sprocket conversion) this really helped me get confident with the bike, but still left lots of room for me to stay interested without having the new one. So basicall - older model bikes = pretty good sitch for a beginner IMO.

Buell's are real neat bikes. I had a 2004 XB12R it was a lot of fun and i was able to go to the harley hangouts without being thrown out. And it was even better to have a bad a$$ bike that no one else had with that sweet harley sound. I sold it b/c i wanted to get something more conservative... And here i am now. If i was going to get another big sport bike it would probably be a Buell.

i rode a buell blast for my msf course. they definitely move real quick, but ran like ass. unless you dont plan on keeping the blast for long, i would avoid the msf bikes. i mean those 500 miles are like 50,000 miles with how riders treat them...
