This is a benefit ride for a co-worker of mine who was killed this past December while working roadside. (I work for a local cable company)

1st Annual Clint Shaw Memorial BBQ/Motorcycle Ride

This ride is to remember Clint and provide another opportunity for all to help contribute to the Martina Shaw educational fund.

When:

Saturday June 7th 2008 (If necessary, Rain Date L - 6/21)

The ride will begin at 11:00AM and end around 3:30PM

There will be a Bar-B-Q at the end of the ride lasting until 11:00PM

Where:

We will meet at the Virgin Lake Park on W. Roby Road in Stoughton (Clint’s Home town) at 11:00am.

We will end at 3445 Valley Woods Drive in Middleton where the B-B-Q will be held.

Who:

Any individual may attend this event (Family, Friends, Co-Workers, etc)

Those who do not have a motorcycle may join us at the B-B-Q at 4:00PM in Middleton

Additional Information:

¨ There will be a $20.00 donation to participate in the ride with 100% of the donation going to the fund

o There will be a location available for donations for any non-riders who attend the BBQ, if you wish to contribute.

¨ The trip is estimated to be 100 miles.

o We are planning to have 2 designated stops during the trip.

- The Horseshoe Tavern in Monroe Ludlow Bar & Grill

- The Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb

o There will be a vehicle w/trailer in case of breakdown

¨ There will be some terrific prizes available through a drawing.

¨ Bar-B-Q specifics

o No cost to join us at the B-B-Q, non-riders welcome

o 4:00PM start

o There will be a heated swimming pool available (weather permitting), volleyball, billiards, and other fun activities.

o Soda/beverages will be provided (Alcohol will not be - BYOB)

We encourage all to attend as we expect this to be a fun and memorable event. In order to ensure both a rider count and BBQ count (food planning).

Please contact Chris Syens at 608-288-6830 or email [email protected] no later than Friday May 30th.

Donations can be given to Dave Feige, Bruce Hummel, Aaron Dimmig, or Chris Syens.

We look forward to sharing the road with you!!

Its west of Madison...The ride was great! Must've been like 50 bikes(mostly Harleys) but there were a few jixers and a kaw 650. I must've put on about 300 miles that day. My ass was killing me! I feel better now.
