The stock battery is great but I went with gel once because it was an insurance claim and I have never gone back. Lighter and cranks better. Love it for the two reasons but the yas batteries work great just expensive. Plus like what was mentioned before I've seen them leak. Haven't seen the gel leak yet

Did more research, going to get an AGM( absorbed glass mat), not as light as gel but same idea, better cranking amp, more efficient in colder temps,sealed. Latest in battery innovation.

The gel ones contain a silica(sand) to suspend and capture liquid and gases, where the AGM use a fibre glass mat to do the same, neither one will leak even if cracked. They r sealed and need no maintaining.
