I think I was doing the exact same thing when I started a couple of months ago, I found I was dropping the clutch too early and the rear would lock up, just keep your clutch usage smooth and things may be better.

i noticed this same problem yesterday, where the rear wanting to swing out. if this problem keeps on happening to you, make sure you check you wheel alignment and tighten your chain (both things all in one task). like others have told me dont rely on the notches on the swing arm when u do your wheel alignment. lots of cheap and easy way to do it. im sure there's a write up here if not check the "other" forums. you tube has some vids on there too!
