Hello all, just wondering if anyone else has this issue or if indeed it is an issue. Occasionally when I start my ninja 250r it will back fire. Is this mechanical issue. I've also noticed it happening after it had rain. Not sure if it's related. Could maybe water get into the exhaust? I have her covered but I'm sure rain still penetrates through the cover. Any thoughts?

Prob just a bit of unburnt fuel !

I do smell a heavy smell of gas at times. Do you think the mixture is too rich?

Does the bike run good normally ?

Well it never stalls or anything. Sometimes though after a long ride when the bike sits for maybe a few minutes it takes a couple times to start it back up.

That's just a hot start thing quite normal ,if bike is running fine then I wouldn't worry too much about a bit of unburnt fuel sitting about is yours a carb model?

Thanks!!!! Yeah here in the states for some reason which I don't understand, we have the carb model.
