Was looking to replace my Scorpion EXO-900 and had decided on a Shoei RF-1100 Conqueror lid. Was visiting family near Toronto, ON and dropped into GP Bikes (next door to Royal Distributing where i planned to by the Shoei helmet). They didn't have the Conqueror helmet, but GP Bikes had Arai helmets on sale... And there was the Arai RX-Q "Oriental" helmet....on sale from $829.99 to $699.99...I had to have it... So I ordered a medium which they didn't have in stock, said they'd ship for free back home in Ottawa...4hr drive away... When I got to the cash to pay for it, the helmet was $599.99...apparently I didn't figure in the discount that was being applied since there was a massive sale in the store.
The helmet arrived 4 days later to my surprise...super fast service.
The helmet has a great fit for me anyways, lighter than the Scorpion and the service at GP Bikes was great.
Not sure if the sale is still going on, but a helmet that retails at $829.99...got it for $599.99... Pretty good deal for a high end helmet.
Just wanted to share a good experience with anyone who might be in the market for a new lid.
