So when I start my bike I leave the gas off (on the petcock) and it fires right up and will run for a little bit, when it starts to die I turn the gas on the rpms get higher and I change the choke and then it dies and it won't start again after that I have to wait a few days before I try again. If anyone has ideas or could possibly help in any way that wild be great!!

Thanks,
TJ

Does it drip gas when you open the petcock and it dies? If so, a float may be stuck and it's flooding when you open the petcock.

Or, the petcock could be plugged and it runs out of gas. Leaving it sit for a few days allows the gas to slowly fill the bowls again.

Either way, it sounds like a fuel delivery issue.

What bike and year?
