How do you adjust the clutch? I need the clutch hand control to be closer to the handle bar so I can squeeze it easier. Felix, give me the how to and a picture, your advice on the gear shift foot lever was good. thanks.
Doomsday, I'm not Felix, but this is what I know. Clutch-play can be adjusted, but the lever position (ie closer to the grip), can not be adjusted without upgrading to an adjustable lever.... I would say you can get after it with a blow-torch and pair of pliers and just bend the lever, but unfortunately that would mean it won't pull the clutch in as far as it needs to, etc... An adjustable lever will however move the clutch as far as it needs to, and make it easier for you to grip it, etc. Ask your dealership for one....
Yea you can only adjust the freeplay of the clutch, you cant actually adjust where it grabs and you cant adjust your levers.... I was pissed when i found out,
but spooph is right you can take a torch to them and bend them, i recommend a vise and some towels, not pliers ( pliers leave marks )
and i would recommend taking the levers off, dont do it on the bike!!!!
before you remove them i would suggest that you start the bike and play with the clutch to find out how close to the grip the clutch releases, then measure it and bend it slightly less then that amound, and you should be safe and have a lever that is easier to reach and not spend hundreds on adjustable levers, unless you have the money to spend, then i would buy them and switch over...
