there are many to choose from but i would advise to get one that is made with stiffer material(if wind makes it flap it will scuff the paintjob)and some have extra meltproof material for the exhaust area (in case you put it on when bike is still hot).it may cost a bit more but will be worth it.

I have a lightweight cover that fits the Ninja 250 perfectly (medium size). I take it and use it on long trips.

The one I have was made by TrackSide which is now BUILT (Cycle Gear). I has held up well, easy to put on and compact. It's good for sun, dust and flying debris protection. I waterproofed it for moisture protection. if the wind is blowing a little bit i put a microfiber towel on the windscreen,

They also make a little thicker, heavy duty one. BILT Parts & Accessories - Deluxe Motorcycle Cover - Cycle Gear

Cycle Gear has many covers of different protection to choose from.

I'll check around before i buy one. I don't get to travel far enough away usually for a overnight trip anyway. Do hope to have the time maybe this summer for that tho. Most my trips are just a leave early am, n back after 8-10 hours.

Nelson-Rigg MC-904-04-XL Deluxe All-Season Motorcycle Cover (Black, X-Large) : Amazon.com : Automotive

plenty of reviews say the cover is functional... hopefully will serve me well (i got a large)
Probably should have got a medium for the Ninja 250.

i actually ordered a large and cancelled the order just after my previous post.. i'm unsure what size to get because i read one review that says the large fits his cbr250 snugly and another that says an X-large fits his ninja 250 pretty snugly.. NOW i'm reading that sizing chart and thinking... which damn size do i order?
