Sweet, I take mine in next saturday. I am gonna have them check it out.
It seems these recalls were in March. If I bought my bike in late May. Would these things be fixed by then? Or would Kawasaki continue to manufacture bikes with these problems? Can they...legally?
You should be able to have your dealer run the VIN on it, and they could figure out if it's gonna need fixing.
Don't be surprised if these problems exist in newer (and UK) bikes. Bought mine in December '08, tail light went within a week. Didn't know about this recall, but it was only £2 in Halfords and a 5 minute job replacing it.

Might get the others checked out actually.
you can check your vin number for potential recalls at kawis site... http://kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.aspx?strContentURL=/SITE/VIVEHICLEINFORMATION/VICHOOSEVEHICLE.ASP just fyi
im sure it was stated somewhere else too
I did try that, but my VIN wasn't recognised.... My bike doesn't exist..)
did u input your "shorter" vin, or the longer one? it expects the jkaex--------------- one thats like 16 or 20 chars....
I put in what was labelled as my VIN in my warranty book. I'll have a look to see if there are any other numbers on it tomorrow as I can't really remember off the top of my head.
It would be nice to get the TSB .pdf for these recalls. That vent hole in the airbox is kinda annoying me as I don't know what to look for... the brake line is easy to check onto.
That noise can actually be countered, there's a how to on the forums somewhere if i'm not mistaken.

On that note, any of the '09's have that problem as well or have they taken care of it?
