Yeah man. I am in the insurance bussiness but I also have two companies and I do very well for myself buddy. I know most can't do it but I'm fortunate to be able to do things like that. Haha. I called yesterday about the first bike arriving they didn't have a date yet but I'll post when I know

Well boys and girls Tuesday is the day I go to get the 2016 zx10r Krt edition with abs brakes. It's exciting. Although I'm nervous because I hear the power on the bike feels weak but it's due to the electronics but it's actually super fast. I like the feelin of power hmmmm

It may or may not be an issue. (power delivery) all in all it should still haul-a$$ bro! And it's a new moto and you will love it. Definitely keep us in the loop of your assessment once get enough ride time.

My bike has been down for a year now I was riding doing about 100 when all of a sudden it felt like it down shifted to second gear and the motor just boggled out I took it to a shop where it sat for a year and all the guy at the shop could tell me was he think it could be the computer gone bad I bought it home to have someone else look at it the said the motor was gone I then began to look for another motor which I found not to be cheap until I ran into someone else I told them what happened and he told me that it wasn't the motor it sounded like an electrical problem which goes back to the computer being bad so my question is what should I do because it seems that everyone I talk to really don't know what it could be but want to charge me hundreds of dollars just to look at it is there an easy way I can tell if it's the motor or not?

So unfortunately there is no 100% easy was to answer this but there are a few questions that will help me narrow down your problem. First. What is your bike? Year make model? Second does the bike run at all now? Does the bike sitting still shift through all the gears with the motor off normally . You may have to roll it back and forth. If it does shift does it feel normal? Let's start their. And we can move forward. Electrical problems are a lot harder to troubleshoot but we can get this motor troubleshooting out of the way fairly easily though text

Ok it's a 2001 zx12r and it will not start the only thing it will do when I turn the key on is the dash instrument cluster comes on I haven't tried shifting the gears and rolling it back and forth yet I'm about to go outside and try that now also if this helps any I bought the bike back in 2010 the person I bought it from used it to race he had Nos and an air shifter on it as well as a lot of led lights and he had custom headlights on it as well so I rode it all summer of 2010 and 2011 then one night coming home the lights cut off so I got it home and took it to a shop and come to fine out I needed a new harness so I got new harnesses put on the front and back and the guy at the shop said whoever had the bike prior did a very poor job wiring the bike up they had even used speaker wire for some of the wiring well I got the bike up and running again then two days later I let my cousin ride it anymore he ran into the back of a truck which then the forks were bent and the
fairings were tore up

Ok. Well that is good info but let me know about the shifting part asap. I'll try to help you. So the thing is we have to eliminate a few things to see if we can eliminate the motor being shot

Okay so did you go through all the gears or just first and second? Also take a flash light out with you and check the oil for metallic sparkle Being its sat so long you may not have any sparkle as the metallic pieces have settled to the bottom of the pan but it's worth a shot. Please try and go through all the gears before you check the oil. All 6 gears please. This is important. If you can't see metallic in the oil using a flash light please drain the oil in a pan and check it for metallic shimmer in the oil and/or metal pieces in the oil. ***** Note**** use a clean oil pan and reUse the oil for now to save you some money until we get to the bottom of your issue
