2009 ninja 250r

I was lucky enough to get the only '09 250r that my local Kawi dealer will be getting for a while. I love it.

Hey rocknide07, I too was the only one to get an 09 from my local dealer two weeks ago. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay out the door?

On the kawi site it says $3499-$4099, but on some dealers sites around my area it still says MSRP is $3499. Maybe it will cost closer to the upper end of the spectrum w/ the green/black two-tone paint job.

If it was me, I'd be all over that green, black and white! I love my black, but it wasnt a hard since the only other choice was red. If I end up tracking my bike next year I will be changing the paint scheme, adding white similar to that.

why would they change all the colors? none are the same from 08!?

does that mean my red will be worth more as a first edition too?

Str8outahtown - I think I paid like $4700 out the door with two years of full warranty. Probably over paid, but I haven't seen new ones ANYWHERE going for only $3499. If it's true that the 09's are supposed to list for $3499 and not $3999 the dealership where I got my bike is going to get an ear full.

Yeah I paid 4800 for mine, with warranty as well. I called around to other dealerships here and it seems like every dealership got one 09 for the year. They all sold between 4800 and 5200.

The kawasaki website says MSRP is $3999. Thats $500 more than the 08. BTW..i wasn't a big fan of the green on the 08 but the 09 green is sick. I think they're trying to make it look like the zx-10. if you go to the website and check out the zx-10 the pictures show the green very much like the 250..or vice versa..you get what I mean. either way...I really like the green now, BUT I still wouldn't change it for my blue. Oh, btw, is the new blue darker than the 08 blue? All the colors seem to be a hint darker than the 08 models.

the 09's are still in such a high demand? anyone actually asked the dealer how many of these they ordered this year? and last year??

I talked to my local dealer and they did change all the colors.
As you said, the blue and red are darker.
Also said they added some metal flake to the black.
I will stick with my lime green 08!
