2009 ninja 250r stator

Hi im new here I bought a 2009 ninja 250 that needs a little work I put a new stator and rectifier in it and the wires still get hot the three yellow ones. I have checked every connector and ground and still cant figure it out any ideas would be very appreciated thanks.

Check your battery bud.

Ok thanks so a bad battery will cause that too

Unless you dont have the stator jacket cover on the wires. They are supposed to get hot

Yea the jackets on it but they will start to smoke a little bit ive omh the wires to the rectifier there good

Then you have a short somewhere brother. I wish i could tell you where but honestly O dont know. Could be in the battery too so dont rule it out
