Well since this bike is a first year bike there are bound to be a few recalls down the road.
I have not heard about any YET but thought that we could maybe STICKY this thread so down the road it could be a quick reference.
I say this because some of us are buying the 250r's used from individuals and most of them are still under warranty. If their isnt a Kawasaki dealer around individuals who purchase a used bike to switch over the warranty OR if they are just to lazy to do it, they WILL NOT receive any recall info. from Kawasaki. So this could be a good thread to check periodically if you have bought a used 2008 250r and have yet to switch over warranty info. Dealers generally charge you to do it btw.

Obviously its up to RedRider whether or not to Sticky it and if you feel this thread is pointless you are more then welcome to lock it. I just thought it might be a good idea.

This could also be a good idea to post things that people find that have caused a problem. If you notice something on the bike that you think could cause a problem down the raod, this could be a great place to post it.

I agree :) Recalls and weirdness
Like what mods can go kinda weird. for example lowering the bike can cause you to bottom out on the inner fender.
or like my friend with a ducati who has bar spacers and if he turns his handle bars too tight
(while backing in a parking spot for example. Not under usual riding conditions.) it bumps the kill switch..:)

However a sticky requires someone to mod it and keep up on it.

see quote and stockwalls post. I thought if something was a sticky only the mod could put information into it. So do we send the recall info to you to post or will we just be able to post here in this thread ourselves. Sorry if i am not getting it... speak girl

Awesome! Thanks Red.

Im also a tad confused. I know on other boards im on generally a Mod can only post things on that thread. However their are some exceptions and this seems like a thread that would need that exception. IDK just my .02
Thanks again Red!

Not a recall but more weirdness. If you have lowered a bike. Putting on the spools for the stand tonight and realized if I hit a good bump that the spool will most likely hit the pipe. That is with the stock footpeg pipe bracket on. So I will keep the spools in my bench and install when I need them , Just takes a minute.

Also when I start to sell my exhaust hangers (Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.)they will come with a spacer to use on lowered bike so there will be plenty of clearance between the swing arm and pipe.
I wish I didn't have to lower the bike but just could not touch with both feet at all - not even toes.

Bummer nothing would be worse than having it dangled in front of you then taken away again!

Head over to the newbie section and introduce yourself!
