I have a 08 ninja 250r and I'm a pretty new rider but I was idoling while talking to my buddy and he notice my bike was steaming/smoking under me and there was liquid leaking out of the bike because there was a puddle right under where I was sitting. Luckily I was right in front of my house and whipped in and haven't touched it since. This happened about 5 hours ago. Thanks for any help.

Might be time for a coolant change.
Did the fan start up at all? Perhaps you need a new engine temp sensor also.
Are you mechanically minded? I have a copy of the workshop manual available if you are interested that will show you how to do it all.
Send me a PM, with your email listed, and I will send it off to you when I get home tonight from work.

Pretty sure the 250R doesn't have a temp gauge, just a light from memory.

Yall are right the fan isn't working so I guess I'm taking off the plastics and fuel tank and looking at wiring and buying a new fan and maybe thermostat idk I might just do both. Is anyone in the dfw area that might be able to help me?

So first use jumper wires and a test the fan from a 12v power source If that works then then youll need to check the temp sensor and temp sensor relay with a voltage meter shouldnt be too hard to bud. Just needs to get Fixed.

Also, don't overlook the simplest thing, a blown fuse.

Dont spend unnecessary money before checking the simple things first bud. If it comes to a bad radiator then change it but they have ways to fix most radiator problems using a simple water hose with good pressure. Check the fan, fuses, and connections first

I honestly don't know for certain what I'm doing so if someone wants to help me out in dfw that'd be great. I know it sounds simple but taking the tank off and everything I want someone who knows what they are doing so I don't mess the entire bike up. if anyone can let me know
