Read the story on the first thread first, then go check out her pics on her website.  Seriously, even before this I never understood why people would ride without gear, and after reading this, it's even more obvious that riding without gear isn't intelligient at all.

OMG!!! I Just Dished Out The Cash For My Helmet Now Im Glad I Did. Ouch!

Don't forget the jacket, gloves (long preferably to cover the wrists), boots, and pants.  I personally don't have pants yet, but my next gear purchase will be a two piece leather suit, b/c I love my skin too much.

Haha well I got a leather jacket and gloves and boots(ropers, for the horses) but pants all i have are jeans but thats ok

i guess i should buy myself some good pants...
jeans aren't enough
my friend just had a crash last week wearing leather gauntlet, leather jacket and jeans.  i think he crashed while going 30-40kph on a curve.  his upper body is perfectly fine...but his butt and knees are pretty badly scratched!

LOL, sorry, that was too obvious!  Wink 

And I agree with everyone, jeans work for awhile, but just not enough if you're gonna be a serious rider.

Regular Jeans Arent enough, i just ordered some Icon Jeans with reinforced panels in them. if anyone is interested ill post some pics and my opinion when they arrive, should be early this week.

I also ordered some new gel grips, a red iridium sheild for my helmet, a icon primer tank/back pack (magnetic) and some random assorted icon decals...
