I wear a Scorpion helmet, Alpinestar jacket, Oxtar boots, and Alpinestar gloves....probably need to get some riding pants, but all the girl's stuff kinda looks dumb....guess I just need to go somewhere and try some on...hahaha, the thought of cruising around in like leather pants is just funny to me...
Unless your hot, then leather on.

Wait a sec, I'm confused.  If I'm hot, you're saying not to wear leathers? If I'm not, I need to wear leathers?  lol....meh?

Well so far, we know your blond, a chick, and ride a 250. Id say you gotta be Hot. So if you are hot, as in freakin' hottie, then yea leather on. Just make sure you atleast post some pics. HAHA

A couple things while I'm in  here...

BAT MAN DOESN'T WEAR A HELMET ON HIS BAT-CYCLE!!!

Secondly, if anybody is looking for a good pair of waterproof boots, check out the Alpinestars Recon Boot. They're on sale at motorcycle-superstore for like $100, and there's a review on www.webbikeworld.com. I have em and they're a really good deal for that price. Check 'em out!

Has anyone seen the video on youtube (8 reasons not to ride in the rain) ? it is some dummy who got tore up in the rain because he crashed and had no gear on. Please wear your gear. It will make a HUGE difference if you ever fall.

I use Joe rocket Leather . I have a vanson leather with holes in it . Kinda light weight. The elbow pads are a hard cup. I feel that when I crashed and fell the pad did more damage by breaking my ribs . A soft elbow pad would have protected my elbow and not broken my ribs in a slow crash.

That's what I have in my jacket, soft pads. I dunno what kind it is, it was just a sweet looking Kawi jacket on sale at the dealer. i don't exactly like where the pads sit on my shoulders, but it's better than nothing.

gear is a funny thing. This is a little off topic but along the same line with the hard pad thing

We roller skate ALOT mostly indoors and I use helmet, wrist and knee elbow pads.  Kind like derby gear.

anyway fell last night unexpectedly and SPLAT ! and the wrist guards did their job for my wrists but dug into my chest owie.
than the knee  pad protected my knee cap but jarred the cap around making my knee really toast today. I guess the best is to have the hard pads for the road rash thing but sometimes they feaking hurt.
I just got a new jacket and it is specifly for women.  I noticed right away the elbow and shoulder pads are smaller and fit snug.  I never realized how loose the others were on my old joe rocket. Probably would have just pushed out of the way in a fall.  I still vote for the harder pads.

New jacket is Cortech and I like it alot. For you gals, and your gf's I like Icon's Boots for woman too.  They have the back cut- slanted heel so you don't hang up on the peg.  Also fairly comfortable when walking around off your bike.
