Make my Day...

« on: November 02, 2008, 10:06:14 PM »

First, I want to thank everyone that has helped to make this site great. The friendly, laid back atmosphere has made this more like a club than just a forum.

I need everybodys help! Please post your ideas, suggestions and comments for the future of the website, and the club.

I think we need different 'chapters'. It would make it easier to organize group rides and help promote the great sport of riding!

I would enjoy a Ninja gallery. Perhaps a section where members can upload photos of their bikes so we don't have to go digging through threads to find cool pictures.

Yay the announcement doesn't show up on every page of the forum anymore!! Thanks!  Also, it doesn't appear that the server has taken into account daylight savings time.

I really do like this site.  In all seriousness, if you are looking for more moderators, I'd like to be considered...I'd like to help out the site in some way, especially considering that I don't have a bike yet.

*Members gallery.
*Global and Local Chapters.
*Shout Box.
*Close off a couple of area's to un-registered members to help keep membership up.
*Maybe on the front page of the site, a members bike can be picked each month to be displayed as 'The New Ninja'
*Widescreen version Tongue
*More stickies, maybe voting for a topic to get made sticky/pinned to.
*Ability for indvidual customisation of how the site is viewed, graphics, colours etc.

Keep up the good work Red, Stockwall, Mags!

Closing off areas - yeah we could close off the gallery that's closed on kawiforums I think, I don't remember what else is...
I'd say that it'd be awesome to have a voting for the "New Ninja of the Month" in the gallery section.
And I'd say felix is pushing it with the color schemes, but if you were up to it it'd be cool to be able to turn the site the color of your bike.

Haha I was actually serious tho, I figure if I'm on this site for a few hours a day I might as well be contributing more than posts right (especially if I don't have a bike)?

RedRider here are some of my ideas:
  • Add a blog or news feed of some kind to the home page to make it more useful
  • For the text below the picture, on the right side whne you post, it'd be cool if you made like 5 options:  Red team, green team, black team, blue team, and then a write in for members who don't have a Ninja or any bike at all.
  • Make the logo a hyperlink back to either the home page or forum page
  • As of yesterday, you were unable to upload pictures using the site's uploader. Never mind it's fixed!

Only thing I don't like is the sidebars reducing the size of the text area.

I see you dropped the bar on the left, which helps, but making the text area full width would be better.

Thanks.

I like the box on the right, maybe adding some other shortcuts or something there would be helpful because really, the recent post box is the only thing taking up that space.

It's a lot better this way than if its covered with flashing banner ads.

I love the site, like the moderators..even stockwall lol. All I'd like to see is more color scheme's I think that would be nice and bring a personal touch to the newninja experience. Other than that this site is wonderful.

let me first off by saying that this site is awsome. And i know what your saying red about how this forum feels more like a club. i agree with everything felix said. i would really like to get chapters going and make this an offical bike cluc, lord knows we already have enough members. On another note here in Nashville i have seen about 3 08-09 ninja 250's that arent registered on newninj.com so ill see if i can talk to them and tell them about the site...all in all really good work man keep it up. Cool
