My clutch is perfect . I was surprised with 5000 miles it looks brand new . I guess 25 hp dose not put much strain on a clutch.
I change my oil all the time . Never goes more than one race and I just dump it . I save it and use it in street bikes .

For the record. The problem I ran into on the dyno with the trans was from shutting off the engine while the rear wheel is spinning. The trans is lubricated from engine oil .By shutting off the engine I cut the oil supply to the trans. The gears are still spinning so that welded the fifth gear sprocket to the input shaft, OOPS

OK back from the Dyno. I went to RNR Cycles in sterling VA .Rick went above and beyond to help me out. We spent all day on the the dyno .Changing timing, jets and exhaust systems. I still have to down load the results then sort through it .
But the basics are 33 hp . Over 32 hp all day long And I tried an open header to see what would happen .With the muffler removed it cut power By 1 hp at least and did not make that much difference in the mixture. So I will run a muffler.Shows how well they design exhaust systems.

I have installed JE Pistons and a mechanical cam chain tensioner. I am just getting started with the engine.
I still have not touched the head .Except to lap the valves to get them to seat. And check the valves clearance. I played with cam timing But without a dyno it is inconclusive..

so someone make me less ignorant.
as long as your producing positive gains in torque your increasing speed or does the hp matter more than torque.
oh by the way, its good to be back everyone. =D

on dyno sheets that i've seen the hp grows a bit more and the torque doesn't after a point.
i'll read tomorrow my eyes are glazed damn near shut.
thank you for the link X.

Just back from the dyno. This is 13 to 1 pistons . And a set of CR carbs . A Nojima exhaust .A BRT-tis ignition system ,The cams are degreed and there is a little bit of head porting done. but the rest is stock.
We will see how fast it will go in two weeks.

Very cool X! Say, why do they measure it over speed, and not RPM?

I don't understand how to read dyno results. This is the same runs .But when I show the graph with engine speed the power drops?
By the way .The bike was tuned by Rick at RNR cycles in Sterling VA. We worked on the bike all day .First he did the break in of the pistons . I will check compression today. Buy that was a lot of work 64 pulls. With jet changes timing changes and fuel changes .Plus my stupid stuff like removing the velocity stacks and unplugging the voltage regulator . Neither helped .Removing the stacks cost .0001 HP.

what do you mean the power drops? On the second red line? Are these 2 both from the same pull? Did somebody screw up somewhere? Cause they should be the exact same peak HP, if it's the same pull... UNLESS, on the speed picture, they didn't stop at redline...... Cause that curve keeps climbing, so if he pulled even a few more RPM above redline on the "speed" graph, that could have shown a slight bit more....
