I just took my fairings off today and cleaned the inside of them and also the motor. There was alot of dirt from riding in the rain and somehow cinders were atop the motor by the plugs. All I did was spray with windex and wiped dirt off with a microfiber towel. And the hard to reach places and small crevices I used a toothbrush. I did it without the aid of a 2nd person and stand. I just pulled the turn signal wire out to get around the kickstand and turned the bars to the right. Worked great. I busted the plastic piece that locks the turn signal hookup in place. The left turnsignal hookup was different from the right. It seems cheaper and harder to pull lose. Oh well. Good ol' electrical tape did the trick.
